Performance OEM

Our expertise has made Alcon a prominent supplier to the performance OEM sector, supplying top quality brake systems and clutches to some of the most prestigious marques in the world.

Our capability and credibility in the OEM market is perhaps best encapsulated by Alcon’s appointment to the Aston Martin Valkyrie project. Designed by Adrian Newey, unarguably the world’s greatest designer of Formula 1 cars, as a joint venture between Aston Martin and Red Bull Technologies, the Valkyrie expands the envelope of road car performance like no other car in history. In every area, nothing less than the best in the world was required. For its braking requirements, that meant nothing less than Alcon braking components.

Brake Systems

We have decades of experience in meeting the exacting standards of large OEMs and know precisely what is required to deliver braking performance for mainstream sporting cars that exceeds the expectations of the most demanding and discerning of road car drivers. Over 35 years in racing means we have the ability to produce braking systems to any specification laid down by a manufacturer, bringing lessons learned and standards achieved on race track and special stage to the most challenging theatre of all: the public road.

Clutches

Our clutches are made with exactly the same commitment to excellence as our brake kits. We build them to provide seamless power transfer, generous torque-handling capabilities, near-instantaneous operation and exceptional durability however the car is used. We offer three sizes of clutch in our standard range with a choice of plate numbers, and of sintered, cerametallic or carbon friction materials depending on application. If the clutch you need does not yet exist, we will be happy to design it for you.

World class standards

Alcon have been TS16949 / IATF16949 certified since October 2006 (incorporating both Design & Manufacture activities) and ISO14001 certified since July 2008.
