Our Ambassadors

Alcon would not have doubled in size in the last five years were it not able to call upon the services of some fairly extraordinary people. And these are not just those who research, design, develop and engineer our products, it is also our ambassadors, the people who help spread the word around the world. From rallying to single seater racing, the World Sports Car championship to Formula Drift, wherever Alcon competes, our team of wildly talented and skilled ambassadors compete with us.

PETTER SOLBERG

WORLD RALLYING & RALLYCROSS

Petter is not just a former World Rally Champion with 13 WRC victories and a staggering 460 stage wins to his name. He is also a double FIA World Rallycross champion (2014-15) making him one of the most versatile and successful rally drivers in history.

OLIVER SOLBERG

EUROPEAN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

The son of 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg, Oliver comes from rallying royalty. And he is already proving a chip off the old block, in 2019 winning on his debut in the European Rally Championship despite being just 17 years old, making him the youngest winner in ERC history.

RHYS MILLEN

RALLY, RALLYCROSS, DRIFT, PIKES PEAK

Over a career spanning more than 20 years in racing and performance stunt driving, Rhys Millen is one of the top in his field. A two-time Global Rallycross event winner and the 2005 Formula Drift champion, Rhys Millen is also a double winner of the annual Pikes Peak hillclimb, triumphing in 2012 and 2015.

JAMES DEANE

FORMULA DRIFT

James is one of the world’s most admired drift drivers, winning three consecutive Drift Allstars European Series from 2014-16, following that with back to back Formula Drift championships in 2017-18. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the longest tandem drift of 28.52km.

DARREN TURNER

FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Darren is AMR’s longest-serving works driver. A three-time class winner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans he remains the marque’s most successful driver. Turner, the 1996 McLaren Autosport BRDC winner, is also one of Britain’s most experienced drivers competing in top level motorsport.

MIA FLEWITT

GT RACING

Mia Flewitt was an automotive engineer in Sweden before moving to the UK in 2000. Starting her motor racing career later in life, Mia has won three championships in the past 3 years. She’s the reigning British GT GT4 pro/am champion and is racing in British GT and Pure McLaren GT Series.

HARRISON NEWEY

SUPER FORMULA AND SUPER TAIKYU SERIES

Harrison is a rising star of international motorsport and one of Britain’s brightest young talents. He won both the MRF Formula 2000 Championship and Asia Le Mans Series before his 20th birthday, and now races in Super Formula, Asia’s premier racing series.

NATHALIE MCGLOIN

PORSCHE CLUB & CSCC CHAMPIONSHIPS

In 2015, Nathalie became the first female tetraplegic to be granted a racing licence in the world, she races a Porsche Cayman S against able-bodied drivers. Nathalie is also the first President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission, making her the youngest ever FIA Commission President.

ARCHIE CLARK

GINETTA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Archie Clark will make the full time step up from karts to car racing this year competing for Elite Motorsport in the Ginetta Junior Championship.
The 14-year-old is the grandson of rally legend, Roger Clark, a four-time British Rally Champion and twice winner of the annual RAC Rally.
