Quality Admin (Metrology)

Reporting to: Quality Leader (Metrology)

Objective: You will be part of a team responsible for quality and product excellence. You will be responsible for gauge requirements, controls, and documentation to the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and update measurement instruments (gauges) records.
  • Issue to and book back manufacturing measurement instruments.
  • Raise and monitor requests for external measurement instruments & equipment calibration.
  • Collect and send measurement instruments and equipment for external calibration.
  • Prepare the gauge disposal forms for analysis.
  • Receive, guide, and follow up external calibration service providers.
  • Maintain the records of external calibration service providers.
  • Raise new measurement instruments requests and monitor the delivery.
  • Analise quality data and generate reports.
  • Create forms and instructions to be used by the quality department.
  • Support the return of suspect material to suppliers.
  • Review job cards and other quality related documents for compliance to customer requirements.
  • Organise and maintain specific stationary materials.
  • Other duties may be required in line with current responsibilities.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Must have administration experience gained ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Educated to 5 GCSE’s A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply Quality Procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and Windows-based data systems.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and keep calm in stressful times.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Flexible and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative.
  • Willingness to progress within the Automotive Quality Management Systems area.

08:00 – 17:00 (Mon-Thurs)

08:00 – 13:00 (Fri)
