Reporting to: Despatch Lead
Objective: To be part of a team, working to achieve on time delivery in full to our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- To work in the Despatch area, packaging parts for either stock or for customer orders.
- Work closely with the Assembly and Shipping departments.
- Use M2M (Internal System) and Excel to print and input data.
- Ensure clear identification of scrap, reject & sample materials.
Occupational Health and safety
- All staff are expected to work in such a way that does not cause injury to themselves, other staff members or customers.
- Areas to improve the workplace safety should be brought to the attention of the health and safety officer.
Key Relationships
- Management
- Supervisors/Team Leaders
- Shop floor Personnel.
- Delivery/Collection Drivers and couriers.
Knowledge and Experience
- Computer skills essential (Windows etc)
- Experience in a Stores/Packing Department environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience working as part of a team and on your own initiative.
The candidate
- Ability to read English manufacturing specs.
- Will hold a Pedestrian Truck License (preferred).
- Understands, fully complies, and supports the Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
- Will Possess a good level of PC literacy (Word & Excel)
- Good communication & problem-solving skills
- Will have previous Despatch/packaging experience.
- Will have the ability to work at a high flow rate (repetitive and heavy lifting at times).
- Have a keen eye for detail.
Working hours
Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16.15, Friday 7.30 – 16.00.
