#BrandAmbassador: Flewitt moves up to GT3 with Team Rocket RJN

2020 British GT Championship GT4 Pro-Am champions Mia Flewitt and Euan Hankey have announced that they will be returning to the premier domestic GT series for three outings in 2021 and graduating to the senior category.

Flewitt and Hankey will be driving a McLaren 720S GT3 with Team Rocket RJN. The team currently field a trio of McLaren 570S GT4s, two of which form part of the McLaren Driver Development Programme.

Twice champion in the Pure McLaren GT Series, Mia Flewitt moved up to the GT4 class in 2020 alongside her coach and teammate Euan Hankey. Flewitt and Hankey took an outright class victory in only their second GT4 appearance, taking overall class honours in the second race of the opening weekend of 2020 at Oulton Park.

“I’m super excited to be joining Team Rocket RJN for select rounds in British GT this season,” said Mia Flewitt. “I will be sharing their McLaren 720S GT3 with my driver coach and co-driver Euan Hankey. Stepping up from GT4 was always the plan for this season but it’s been a challenging year so far to make it happen. I’m forever grateful to all who have helped and supported us to get here. Bring on Silverstone!”

Team Rocket RJN Team Principal Bob Neville is delighted to be returning to the GT3 category after a 2020 season in which James Baldwin and Michael O’Brien enjoyed significant success.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mia and Euan to the team and very much looking forward to getting our GT3 car back on track,” said Neville. “We already have a busy GT4 programme with three cars this season but to add the McLaren 720S to the programme is fantastic. Mia and Euan are a great pairing and obviously very familiar with working together during their time in GT4.”

Flewitt and Hankey will be competing at the Silverstone 500 on June 26 – 27, Spa-Francorchamps on July 24-25 and the season finale at Donington on October 16 – 17.
