Alcon Supplies 3 Of The Top 4 in Rally Sweden |
|
The win for Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassia is an historic result on only the team's second event since joining the WRC Championship at the start of 2013 - as well as Ogier being only the second non-Scandinavian to win the event. Citroen's Sebastien Loeb brought his Alcon equipped DS3 WRC home in second place, while Ogier's team mate, Jarri-Matti Latvala finished in fourth. Following Loeb's win in the Monte Carlo Rally last month, the results in Sweden maintains Alcon's 100% win rate to date in this year's WRC championship, and leaves Ogier just ahead of Loeb in the drivers' standings, but with the Citroen Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team having the advantage over Volkswagen Motorsport in the manufacturers' points table. |
