In the world of motorsport, we have a background as Technical Partner to the Honda F1 Racing Team, supplying brake calipers of a patented design; whilst co-operating with other teams to develop the next generation of F1 braking systems.

We have also provided all the brake hardware to support Citroën’s and Sebastien Loeb’s dominance of the World Rally Championship [WRC] in recent years.

In the US, every IRL title since 2003 has been won using Alcon brakes, and our product is specified as mandatory for the hard-braking road course races. In the world of NASCAR, we are proud to count Penske Racing and RedBull Racing amongst our front-running customers; while a partnership with friction manufacturer, Raybestos since 2006, broadens the use of Alcon designed and manufactured brake components in the top stock car series still further. Most recently we have a technical partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Elsewhere, we are proud to be the official supplier of brakes to the Australian V8 Supercar Series.

In the field of specialist and performance road cars we serve an impressive list of prestigious road car manufacturers, including Audi, Bentley, Brabus, Jaguar and Land Rover. In this field too, our reputation for technology and innovation is highly visible, no more so than the calipers for the current Bentley Continental GT range including the recently launched Supersports model.

Established in 1984 by engineer and sports car racer John Moore, Alcon now employs around 70 staff at its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Tamworth, Staffordshire, UK with further sales personnel in the USA and France.

In addition, we are strongly represented worldwide with distributors across Europe, Africa, Australasia, Scandinavia, The Far East, Pacific Rim and USA.
