An informal meeting back in 1990 between John Moore, founder of Alcon, and the senior management at Brabus, proved to be a pivotal moment in Alcon’s history. Since then we have manufactured and supplied discs and calipers for use across the range of high performance Mercedes road cars engineered by Brabus. Founded in 1977 by Bodo Buschmann, Brabus is renowned for its professional tuning of all Mercedes-Benz and Smart Cars. It currently builds over 7000 cars a year and has grown into one of the world's largest professional tuning companies. It is also one of the most exclusive car manufacturers in the world, building breathtaking high-performance vehicles such as the Mercedes CLS based Rocket, whose 720bhp/537kW and top speed of 227mph/366km/h, makes it the holder of the World Record for fastest 4-door saloon. Bodo Buschmann, summarises the criteria for a successful partnership, “We set and expect the highest standards of workmanship not only from our own engineers but also from our suppliers, such as Alcon. The length of our relationship clearly demonstrates Alcon’s ability to design and manufacture components of the highest performance and quality. |
